Mary Jo Eustace is getting candid about parenting.
The podcast host recently chatted about what it was like coparenting son Jack, now 25, with ex-husband Dean McDermott and his estranged wife Tori Spelling, explaining that she's happy to have moved on from it all.
"What I'm really glad about is I'm kind of, in a way, done with that," Mary Jo exclusively told E! News at the DPA Pre-Emmy Gifting Lounge. "My son, Jack, he's doing great."
The author shared that Jack will be starting law school next September and that her daughter Lola, 19, is currently a pre-med student. And despite "all the craziness" her children went through in their lives, they "really did well."
"They both had jobs since they were 14," she added, "so I did most of the parenting, but it's really nice to be in this phase of life and kind of moving on to the next level."
Mary Jo also said that she has yet to reach out to Dean and Tori amid their divorce, explaining that it's "their journey."
However, the 62-year-old wishes the couple well, especially because of the five children Dean and Tori share: Liam, 17, Stella, 16, Hattie, 12, and Finn, 11, and Beau, 7.
"For the health and welfare of the kids," she continued, "I hope it's handled with respect. I wish them the best."
And when it comes to advice for Tori, Mary Jo doesn't want to force her own ideas into the situation, adding that Tori is "the captain of her own ship and making choices."
For now, Mary Jo is busy prepping for her upcoming stint on season two of Traitors Canada—and has been getting some fantastic advice from friends Phaedra Park and Brandi Glanville, especially when it comes to slimming down. That's why when her friends told her about a new procedure called CellSound—which slims and tightens skin—she knew she had to give it a try.
"I wanted to do something that was completely non-invasive and something that wouldn't hurt," she told E!. "I've done a few procedures that are kind of painful. And CellSound technology is so incredible, and the results are so incredible."
